Concert Season

IT'S THAT TIME OF THE YEAR !

That's right, the year's hottest bands are going on Summer tours and I'm a lucky bastard because I get to see them!! Now, I will say this... My taste in music varies.. One of the concerts I'm going to may cause some of you to lose respect for me. I'm okay with that because ultimately it is MY taste in music. So here goes... In order of appearance.. Concerts I'll have the honor to enjoy and what I want to hear when I'm there. I do also plan to tailgate and get on a good level for each concert...

Maybe not THIS bad...
Follow the cut for Five rounds of Eargasms

First Up-- Maroon 5.

The SEXIEST front man a band ever had...
I was lucky enough to have seen Maroon 5 in their Songs About Jane Tour in 2005. It was SUCH an amazing concert and we had fantastic seats. Front man, Adam Levine did a sensational job working the crowd and there was NEVER a dull moment. There was an equal balance of upbeat, slow and sensual. Now, I haven't seen them perform again since then, and I will tell you that I expect nothing less from their performance on August 19th in FL. I've searched for the set list and found that MOST of my favorite songs of theirs are in fact being performed. But all shows are not the same so I can hope for some changes, right?

Things I'm REALLY excited to see--> the fantasy I've created in my head that consists of Adam Levine getting naked and stage diving right into my section --> They're singing 2 songs that I am not familiar with so I'm gonna go ahead and say those songs are from their new album Hands All Over. I can't wait to hear the new sound. They never really disappoint me. I know Misery is from their new album and I absolutely love the song along with that delicious video! So, songs I will probably replay until the day of the concert that will be performed: -Won't Go Home Without You; -If I Ain't Got You [Alicia Keys Cover]; -Secret/What's Love Got To Do With It [Tina Turner Cover]; and -Sunday Morning (just 'cause its my favorite Maroon 5 song-- SO THEY BETTER SING IT!

Things I DON'T want to see: the rest of the band get naked. Adam is fine. Thanks for playing though.

Yes Ladies, I'm positive those are Adam's... Hands... ALL OVER... as usual.

According to this site, opening acts for Maroon 5 vary but I'm actually really excited to see some Kris Allen at my show. Although I only know ONE of his songs-- I like his sound.

yeeeeeeaaa I'm on tour with Maroon 5.. Suck on THAT Adam Lambert.

I love Adam, really  I do-- but your album cover makes me lose it a LITTLE bit

Round TWO -- P A R A M O R E !

For. Mas.
Probably the concert I am most excited for--> Paramore. September 4th... At first, I wasn't going to their concert because I had a family trip to the Bahamas... But then I said SUCK MY BALLS MOM & DAD -- okay, maybe I said F@*! THE BAHAMAS! and decided to buy my ticket because they ARE my favorite band after all. After reading the set list I got even more excited. My favorite song Looking Up will be played-- I will die and go to heaven when Hayley Williams sings that song. I kid you not ladies and gentlemen. I have no complaints in regards to the set list whatsoever. BUT it may be because I'm biased. I love their lyrics, they're an incredible band and Hayley MAY OR MAT NOT have slightly influenced my hair color...

Rock out with your cocks boobs out !
Also on the Honda Civic Tour with Paramore is Tegan and Sara, New Found Glory (inner fan girl squee) and Kadawtha. all I can say is HOLYMOTHERF*#&!_#$(@#& NEW FOUND GLORY?! DOUBLE WIN! I absolutely love them !!! Okay, not as much as I love Paramore, but I do have their album titled Catalyst give it a listen that just happens to be my favorite song of theirs. Their music never fails to get me pumped up and forget about things like speed limits.

MY Kind of Road sign :)
As for Tegan and Sara, I've heard of them, I have some of their music but I don't know it well enough to be super psyched about it. They have a great sound, definitely my kind of music so I'm happy it's not something I won't enjoy. Kadawatha on the other hand, no idea. So I'm ready for my surprise!

OH EM GEE Kadawatha is a plate of AWESOMESAUCE!

Third Base with the Jonas Brothers--> (or as I like to call it: The Concert No One Should Judge Me For Attending)

All Grown Up... :')
First off, I'll mention that I'm a Disney kid. I watch kiddie shows, I experience Disney World on an entirely different level than most normal people. I actually own ALL Jonas Brothers albums and Demi Lovato's for that matter. They definitely don't fit in with the rest of my taste in music (usually emo/punk/indie rock) but I still love them. Their lyrics are cute and their songs put me in a sort of blissful trance. Their tunes are uplifting and catchy (which is something my iPod is not used to at all). However, if they were going on tour with someone OTHER than Demi Lovato -- I probably wouldn't be going. I've heard great things about their concerts. They put on a great show. So I know I won't be bored and I'll probably be singing and dancing along to most of the songs that will be played. Something I really don't care for is the "friends from Camp Rock 2" part of the concert. I can definitely do without that. And let me tell you something about Demi Lovato-- THAT GIRL, she's got some lungs on her, and as a 21 year-old I think I may enjoy her music far too much. She is SENSATIONAL. I've already gone to see her in concert and THAT was AMAZEBALLS. no words. I had a great time, we had fabulous seats and there wasn't one dull moment the entire evening (except maybe the little girls giving us the stink eye because we were blocking their view-- sorry, we're old.)

Damn OLD BITCHES!
Sorry Kiddies.

The Lion is CERTAINLY King... (that was code for Kings of Leon)

oh Hey schmexyyyyyy... How YOU doinnn'?
The first Summer concert ticket I bought.. le sigh... It's hard to believe that it's so close already. Just a month and a few days until I'll be in the same vicinity as the Followill Brothers... I'm swooning just at the thought. I mean, LOOK AT JARED... unffffff

"Did your panties melt off yet?" Well Jared... they actually did..

Okay, no, but really. Their music alone is AMAZEBALLS. I liked their music before I even knew what they looked like. TRUE STORY. I'm really looking forward to Closer, Notion, Manhattan and OF COURSE Revelry among others. I mean, I don't think I've ever heard one of their songs and didn't think it was amazing. I know Caleb's voice will only serve to induce COMPLETE euphoria. There's just something about his voice that captivates me. It's edgy, different and utterly addicting. I love their music mainly because of his voice and their lyrics.

Yes, Caleb, your sex IS on fire!
Oh heyyyy.. did I mention who's opening for Kings of Leon? Well, it's just THE MOTHERF*&%!@ BLACK KEYS! Don't know them? Well, if you like the Eclipse soundtrack, you should. (Oh yeah, I WENT THERE!) They sing Chop and Change, which is pretty much one of the best songs on the entire album. Still in the dark? How about Tighten Up ? I know, SO GREAT! I love that they look kinda geeky/nerdy and the overall vibe of their music. It's fun and quirky. I FLOVES IT. I can't wait for the chance to see them perform LIVE!

Study UP the set list kids, it's gonna be SICK
Last but CERTAINLY not least-- Fin de Semana de Vampiros

YES, we did have our name before this Vampire frenzy began...
Translation: Vampire Weekend. That's for all my non-Spanish speaking people. Vampire Weekend is surely the best Indie Rock band out there at the moment. The fact that they don't get much recognition makes my blood boil. I obviously mean recognition in Miami, they're pretty famous when it comes to listeners all over the country. But I've come to the realization that Miami isn't really an Indie/Rock kind of city. It's been populated with clubbing house and hip-hop music for the past 20+ years, and I'm positive that won't change. However, if there WAS an Indie Rock station in Miami (much like the one there is in Nick and Norah's Infinite Play list- which takes place in New York) that station would be run by Vampire Weekend and bands much like them. And I'd never need an excuse for an iPod because I'd definitely live on that station.

No, we DON'T sing about vampires, nor do we sparkle (or burn) in the sunlight.
To say that I'm horribly, EXCRUCIATINGLY excited to see them in concert is an understatement. If their music doesn't make you wanna go see them live, then THIS should..  HOW COOL IS THIS VIDEO RIGHT NOW? Maybe the lyrics to THIS one? These guys are flippin' GOLDEN. I'm so glad I discovered them. You should all go and get their music. FOR SERIOUS. you WON'T regret it. In case you couldn't tell, I'm really passionate about this particular group... SO GO.. GET MUSIC! NOW. >_<

ready to craaaassssshhhhhhh
And so, we come to a conclusion to my Summer concert post with a little wisdom from none other than...Vampire Weekend..

"First the window, then it's to the wall.. Lil Jon, he always tells the truth..."
